Green Bay Area Youth Hockey Association (GBAYHA), a non-profit volunteer organization, strives to provide safe and affordable hockey and instruction for children of the Green Bay Area. We believe that participants receive the important benefits of fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and cooperation that will help each child achieve his or her personal goals, and contribute to the greater good of the community.

Saturday, November 22nd is family night at the Resch.  What does this mean?  $11 children tickets are $6 for kids under 14 years of age.  Soda and hot dogs are $1.  Check the Gambler's website for additional information.  Game starts at 7:05 PM.

In an effort to have our lost hockey pucks from around the rink returned to GBAYHA, a new incentive for pucks turned into the concession stands has been established.  Although it is not much, each child, or adult, returning a found puck will get a candy sucker.  Please let your younger children know this program exists.  It is a fun way to stay busy if at the rink waiting for a sibling or parent.

A few years ago, we had a monthly newsletter that was replaced by the GBAYHA website as the internet provided a quicker way to get information to our members.  When we made this change, we may have inadvertently lost our way to communicate what the GBAYHA board has been working on and what is happening on a high level within our organization.  The board did discuss this during our September meeting and decided we would try to put together a "Presidents Letter" on a monthly bases in order to hopefully create a way for all of us to communicate.  I did put the first letter for the 2008-2009 season under the News section of our website.  I wanted to make sure everyone was aware that this information is available.  I am hoping that others send topics for discussion to me as time rolls on so it may be included in the upcoming newsletters.
